"but [Husserl] could not get even one of his brilliant students to follow him into his transcendental phenomenology."
Eugen Fink? The late 20th-century development of asubjective phenomenology (Fink, Patočka) seems the logical heir to Husserl's project.

Hi Joel,

I hope all is well with your & yours.

I thought of Eugen Fink as a possible counterexample as I was writing the sentence, but then set him aside, perhaps unfairly, as more of a commentator and expositor of Husserl's writings.

The distinguished Munich band of phenomenologists were realists and it is certainly true to say that H. failed to convince them.

Hi Bill. Just keen to know if you have read Peter Sloterdijk's work and, if so, what you think of it if, particularly his Spharen trilogy and thoughts on Heidegger.

Thanks for reminding me of Sloterdijk. I haven't read him. So many books, so little time.
