False Abstraction

Surely one of the idiocies of the age is the oft-repeated, "Diversity is our strength." Anyone who repeats this bit of thoughtless group-speak wears his folly like a scarlet letter.  I'll leave it to the reader to work out why the falsehood is false and how it  illustrates the fallacy of false abstraction. Why do I have to do all the work?

Well said, Joe, except there are many types of good diversity. How about biodiversity, diversity in friends, alcoholic beverages, firearms, tobaccos, raiment, footwear, BICYCLES! And then all the subdiversities within each category of diversity. E.g., handgun calibers: .22 LR, .22 magnum, .38 special. .38 special +P, .38 special ++P, 9mm, etc.

Diversity is a value. What the chucklephucks of the Left cannot grasp is the importance of the competing value, UNITY!

I'm feeling a rant coming on, better stop.
