That article was hard to read though. I thought I was listening to NPR or Pacifica Radio.

You must not be far from the place whence Pacifica emanates. Doesn't the better half keep National People's Radio on all day?

Linens = burial shroud? If so, then the saying strikes me as wishing dear Angela ill -- assuming death is a bad thing, which is not quite clear.

Death is Janus-faced: Grim Reaper - Benign Releaser.

The better half doesn't listen to NPR or any radio & we don't have a TV. Lots of silence in the house, actually.

I don't wish her ill, bit I will be happy when she is gone; those are two things.

She is the gift that keeps on giving, isn't she?
